My work was born through personal experience, years of inner exploration, and a deep desire to better understand the relationship between the body, emotions, intimacy, presence, and support from within. What eventually became Somatic Reiki Flō grew organically through my own journey of reconnecting with safety, embodiment, sensuality, emotional awareness, spirituality, and relational connection in a more grounded and integrated way.
A personal journey toward embodiment and connection:
Like many men, I spent years navigating stress, emotional protection, overthinking, performance patterns, disconnection from the body, and difficulty fully expressing needs, intimacy, vulnerability, and emotional presence.
Over time, I began exploring different approaches to better understand myself and create a more supportive relationship with my body, emotions, nervous system, spirituality, and relational experiences.
As a queer man, much of my personal journey also involved exploring intimacy, emotional openness, sensuality, embodiment, and the impact that cultural conditioning, shame, protection, and relational experiences can have on the body and nervous system.
Through breathwork, embodiment practices, emotional-awareness work, supportive energy-based touch, mindfulness, somatic approaches, spirituality, and years of personal integration, I slowly began discovering new ways of experiencing connection, sensuality, intimacy, safety, and presence within myself and with others. That journey continues to shape the work I now share with men through Somatic Reiki Flō and Awakening Sensuality from Within.
A grounded and embodied approach:
I believe many men have never truly been given the space, support, language, or safety to explore emotional presence, sensuality, intimacy, vulnerability, nervous-system regulation, and connection in a conscious and embodied way.
For many, cultural conditioning, emotional protection, shame, pressure, trauma, or relational experiences can create disconnection from the body and difficulty feeling safe, open, emotionally present, or fully connected within relationships.
My work is centered on creating supportive, consent-led spaces where men can slow down, reconnect with themselves, explore emotional awareness, deepen body connection, and gradually build familiarity with safety, intimacy, embodiment, and relational presence.
The focus is not on performance or forcing transformation, but on creating space for awareness, connection, integration, emotional openness, and nervous-system regulation to emerge more naturally through the body.
The work today:
Today, my work integrates somatic breathwork, embodiment practices, emotional-awareness approaches, supportive energy-based touch, nervous-system awareness, sensory exploration, mindfulness, and integration-based practices designed to support men in reconnecting with themselves and others in a more conscious and grounded way. Much of this work has also been shaped by years of spiritual exploration, meditation practices, and my personal relationship with Tibetan Buddhist philosophy and contemplative traditions, which continue to influence the depth, compassion, and presence I bring into my work today.
Experience and training:
Over the years, I have studied and integrated multiple approaches to embodiment, emotional awareness, nervous system regulation, mindfulness, relational work, breathwork, and trauma-informed practices. My background includes:
Somatic and embodiment-based practices.
Reiki and energy-based approaches.
Breathwork and mindfulness practices.
Nervous-system-informed approaches.
Parts work and Internal Family Systems (IFS) approaches.
Polyvagal-informed training.
Emotional-awareness and integration practices.
Years of meditation and contemplative exploration.
I continue to approach this work as an ongoing personal and professional practice rooted in curiosity, compassion, embodiment, and presence.
